在版本控制（尤其是 Git）中，默认分支指一个仓库在创建、克隆或打开时默认指向的主分支；未明确指定分支时，系统通常会以它作为基准（过去常见为 master，如今很多项目使用 main）。该词也可泛指“默认被选中的分支”。
